TOTAL COMPENSATION: $74,711-$102,416 based on aligned experience up to 9 years
STATUS: Full time school year, benefits eligible, exempt, in-person position
START: Start date will be determined as part of the offer process
REPORTS TO: School Principal or their designee

Core Job Functions
Deliver Student Special Education Services (70%)
Planning, Preparation, & Casework (20%)
Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to modify regular curricula as needed and assist special education students in regular classes with assignments.
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
Update monitoring tools to ensure accurate evaluation of scholar progress toward goals.
Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop IEP through the ARD Committee process for each student assigned.
Develop meaningful relationships with families and partners as it relates to scholars on their caseload.
Plan and assign the work of teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and oversee completion.
Development (5%)
Participate in team member training and development sessions to improve job-related skills.
Keep informed of and comply with federal, state, district, and school regulations and policies for special education teachers.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day. Frequent light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) with occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds). The employee must have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Work is primarily inside but has daily responsibilities outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather).
