About
My name is WILMA J. MICO. I’m on my 23 years of teaching experience. At present, I am working in Public School for 23 years as a dedicated Technology Livelihood education Inclusive Educator with a strong focus on inclusive education.
I am a graduate of Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education. I’ve recently completed the academic requirements for my Master’s in Education, major in Special Education at Universidad de Dagupan, currently working on my Research and practicum, expecting to graduate this school year. Having been enrolled in SPED further deepened my understanding and strengthened my practice in supporting students with exceptional needs.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in equity, empathy, and high expectations. I believe that all students can thrive when given access to meaningful learning experiences that honor their voices and learning styles.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with diverse learners—across varying abilities, cultures, and learning styles. My approach combines evidence-based SPED strategies, differentiated instruction, and culturally responsive teaching to ensure that learning is not only equitable but meaningful for all. I am committed to creating a safe, empowering, and accessible classroom environment where every student feels valued and capable of success.
What excites me about this role is the chance to contribute to a learning community that values inclusion, collaboration, and lifelong learning. I’m ready to bring my passion, expertise, and 23 years of classroom experience into a new setting where I can continue advocating for learners of all backgrounds and abilities.”
