My name is Wezzie Ruth Neba. I am 53 years old, married with three children. I am a Malawian citizen, currently living in Pullman, Washington state. Furthermore, I hold a Bachelor's degree from Mzuzu University, Mzuzu, Malawi.
My previous experience working as a teacher at different primary and secondary schools led me to various profitable experiences for my schools such as planning for teaching and learning, organizing instructional materials for teaching, prioritizing ideas before instruction, interacting with students, learning to monitor and adjust, differentiate instruction for students of various abilities and learning how to accomplish goals. I have the best recorded performance in many categories such as top scorer in academic in the female category from Mzuzu Teachers’ College, the best Mathematics and Biology teacher and an outstanding teacher from Luwinga Secondary School, the best netball coach at school and district level in Mzuzu City, Malawi.
At my previous position as a Biology and Mathematics teacher, where I retired, I was teaching these two subjects in forms three and four, thus 11th and 12th grades. I was also the chairperson for the graduation committee and the class teacher for the form four students. I was also the Examiner in Biology for the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) for the form two and four students. Furthermore, I also had the opportunity to work as a deputy headteacher at Masasa Community Day Secondary School in Mzuzu, I also assisted in management for the deputy head duties whenever the headteacher and deputy headteacher are out of the school for other duties at Luwinga Secondary school. Not only that, but I believe I am a perfect match for this position as I am a hardworking, knowledgeable, positive and high achieving teacher and I have a flexible style of teaching to suit the students with diverse needs and background.
