About
My name is Vincent Tei Gaglosu. I am from Ghana. A high School math teacher, teaching grade levels 9 – 12. I currently teach at Sekondi College in Western region of Ghana. I have been teaching for almost 9 years. Some topics I teach include algebra, statistics, probability, polynomials, calculus, trigonometry, vectors, mechanics and many more.
I am a graduate from the University of Ghana, Legon with Bachelors of art degree, economics and mathematics and also a graduate from the University of Education, Winneba with Post Graduate Diploma in Education.
My teaching philosophy is that, the classroom is a place where everyone including the teacher and student must contribute to enable a safe and productive environment. I believe strongly that all students are unique and individual in their own way and such, it is my responsibility to use variety of teaching methods and styles to cater for everyone. As a math teacher, it is my job to cultivate a positive learning environment where everyone advances and reach their full potential.
I will describe myself to be a positive, energetic, knowledgeable and an industrious teacher. My strength includes my adaptable style of teaching and the way I am able to tailor my lesson plans to cater for all students and abilities. I have an inclusive style of teaching and I am a strong communicator both in the classroom and whilst communicating with parents. I am a kind of teacher who goes beyond and above what is expected of me to achieve a collective goal.
In my leisure time, I enjoy playing the piano and listening to classical and choral music. I also like travelling for the purpose of gathering relevant experiences in other to link it to the background knowledge of my students.
Apart from my academic duties, I serve as the director in charge of the school choir, the schools volley ball coach,a member of the school’s disciplinary committee and a house master..
I am eager to bring my skills, expertise and experience to your school and contribute to the success of your students and the school community. Thank you
