About
I am a qualified and passionate educator from Kenya with a degree in Education Science (Mathematics and Physics option), Masters of science in Physics and 11 years of full-time teaching experience in high school (grade 9 - 12). In my current role, I teach Mathematics and Physics grade 9 - 12 and I’m responsible for lesson planning, classroom management, and supporting students both academically and in co-curricular activities.What drives me as a teacher is creating an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued. I have been able produce students who have graduated with excellent results in Mathematics and Physics in their final year in High School , and have studied prestigious courses in STEM.
I use technology like Google Suite, group work, and activity-based learning to make lessons engaging.I have held other additional role of being a class manager for 10years and hostel mistress for 5 years.I’m also committed to Diversity,Equity,Inclusion and Belonging practices and building strong relationships with parents, colleagues, and the wider school community.
I’m very interested in the J-1 Teacher Exchange Program because I believe in cultural exchange. I’m excited about the opportunity to teach in the US, share my Kenyan culture and teaching perspective with U.S. students, and at the same time learn new American teaching methods, especially in STEM and student-centered learning.I’m a team player, reliable, punctual, and adaptable. I have experience working in multicultural settings, and I’m eager to contribute positively to your school’s programs and reputation.I would be honored to bring my skills, energy, and dedication to the US educator.
