About
My name is Sherry May I. Cempron and I’m from Cebu City, Philippines. I am a passionate Grade One teacher with more than ten years of experience working with young learners ages five to seven.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have been committed to creating a warm, engaging, and student-centered learning environment. I love using interactive strategies such as guided reading, storytelling, picture-word association, hands-on activities, and simple experiments. These approaches help my students develop curiosity, confidence, and a strong foundation in both literacy and numeracy.
I currently serve as a Grade One Class Adviser and Subject Teacher at OPRRA Elementary School, where I work with a diverse group of learners and closely monitor each child’s progress. I provide remediation, enrichment, and individualized support to meet their unique needs. Before this role, I taught preschool, Grades 4 and 5, and even handled Kinder through Grade 6 classes. These experiences have made me highly adaptable and skilled in creating age-appropriate lessons for different developmental stages.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I have also served as a Grade Level Leader, lecture demonstrator, resource speaker, and documentation committee member—roles that strengthened my leadership, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
As a teacher, I am organized, persevering, and effective at multitasking, especially when managing varied learning needs in the classroom. I am dedicated to designing meaningful learning experiences, integrating innovative educational tools, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom culture. I strongly believe that students learn best when they feel valued, supported, and inspired.
I am genuinely excited about the chance to bring my experience, dedication, and passion for teaching to a school in the United States. Thank you for considering my application, and I look forward to the opportunity to make a positive impact in your community.
