About

Hello! My name is Sheila Molina, I hold a degree of Bachelor in Elementary Education which laid the foundation for my deep passion for teaching. Driven by the desire to create a great impact to our school system, I pursued and completed both my Master's Degree and Doctor of Philosophy major in Educational Leadership and Management.

I have been in the field for 16 years now, which has allowed me to handle a wide range of learners with various needs, backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities. My years in the classroom has firmy shaped my teaching philosophy. I believe that every child, if given an equitable learning environment, support, and a leader who will inspire them to grow, will eventually achieve their maximum potential.

Here are some of the achievements and contributions I made in my school community:

1. Raised the reading proficiency level of 15 struggling readers from 'Frustration' to 'Instructional' level within one school year through a targeted remedial reading program.

2. Developed 4 localized instructional modules with video presentations in Science Grade 4, which were used during the pandemic as part of the alternative learning delivery mode in our school district.

3. Lead an action research on reading intervention that presented during the 6th Pasig City Research Conference entitled “ENHANCING ORAL READING SKILLS IN ENGLISH OF IDENTIFIED GRADE 4-ATHENA LEARNERS OF CANIOGAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL USING MICROSOFT TEAMS READING PROGRESS TOOL” that raised the a radical improvement evident on the utilization of the said reading intervention as shown on the result of the posttest where 24 out of 25 respondents or 96% obtained Independent Level and only 1 respondent or 4% was found to be under Frustration Level.

4. Produced a reading book for beginning reading material intended for Kindergarten learners entitled “ Mga Patinig sa Basket ni Ada” ("The Vowels in Ada's Basket") which won in the regional level and represented the National Capital Region at the national level.

5. Coached students in various arts competitions that won at the district, division, regional, and even at the national level.

6. Awarded as Outstanding Teacher in the District and Model Employee 2024.
