I am a passionate and dedicated ESL/ELA high school teacher handling Grade 7 learners who crafts learner-centered, innovative and engaging lesson to my learners. I adapt lessons to different proficiency levels and learning styles. I scaffold difficult socio-cultural contexts so learners can connect texts to their own experiences and process meaning, not just decode words. I use formative assessments, rubrics, and error-correction techniques to monitor progress in grammar, pronunciation, fluency, and comprehension. I give specific, encouraging feedback that focuses on both accuracy and communication. I design reading interventions and remedial programs for struggling learners.
I use data to identify gaps in vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension, then target them with focused activities.
