About
With over 27 years of experience teaching Social Studies across ICSE and CBSE curricula, alongside substantial administrative responsibilities, I believe, I possess the skills and expertise to make a meaningful contribution to your team.
My career began in 1995 as a budding educator at Kothagiri Public School (International Residential), The Nilgiris, India, where I taught History and Political Science to higher secondary students. After two years, in 1997, I transitioned to another renowned institution, Good Shepherd Public School, Ooty, The Nilgiris, India, where I continued to teach Social Studies to high school students.
In 2000, I joined a Matric Higher Secondary School near Erode as a Geography teacher and served there for three years before pursuing opportunities abroad.
In 2003, I realized one of my aspirations by moving to Oman to teach Social Science at Indian School Muscat (ISM). I served there until 2008, enriching my experience as a TGT in Social Studies.
Following a personal relocation to the USA in 2008, I pursued coursework in Physical and Regional Geography (6 credit hours) at the Community College of Denver under the University of Colorado, while working part time for three years.
Upon returning to Oman in 2011, I joined Indian School Salalah, a leading institution with over 4,200 students, where I currently serve as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) for Social Studies.
In addition to my teaching role, I have undertaken a variety of administrative responsibilities, including serving as School Exam Coordinator and School Projects Coordinator, where I supervised major construction projects and annual maintenance tasks.
I also lead and train teams for online classes and assessments. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I voluntarily stepped into the role of Middle School In-Charge, overseeing online classes, managing examinations, and facilitating the student promotion process.
Furthermore, I have coordinated international student exchange programs, led international tours, and served as the Coordinator for the Eco Club.
I hold a Master’s Degree in History and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, qualifications that I believe align well with the expectations for the History / Social Science Teacher position at your esteemed institution.
Please find my detailed resume and relevant documents attached for your review. I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your institution and would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application further.
