About
Good day everyone! My name is Romelyn Zapanta A public school teacher here in the Philippines for 16 years. I've been teaching Mathematics, English and Science to Grade 2 student since 2009 up to 2011 and Grade students on 2012 up to the present. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, which equipped me with the knowledge and skills to effectively teach and nurture young learners.
Throughout my teaching journey I have developed a strong passion for helping children build solid foundations in communication skills, problem-solving skills as well as the critical thinking and discovery in the world around them. I make lesson engaging, fun and meaningful by connecting lessons to real-life situations and use interactive, hands-on activities that spark curiosity and creativity. Beyond classroom instruction, I have also been actively involved in curriculum planning , mentoring students, and school activities that promote holistic development.
I look forward to sharing the Filipino culture, the values of respect and collaboration. As a Filipino teacher, I value Bayanihan which reflects our culture of hospitality, unity, and helping one another. This value has shaped me to be collaborative, compassionate, and dedicated in supporting both my students and colleagues. I believe this spirit of teamwork and cooperation is something I can bring with me as work with educators from the U.S. and learn new teaching experience from the U.S. education system.
