About
My name is Rheza Gomez, and I’ve been teaching Secondary Mathematics in the Philippines for over 15 years now. Honestly, teaching is something I truly enjoy. Over the years, I’ve learned that most of the students don’t really connect with teachers they fear, especially in a subject like Math, so I make it a point to create a classroom where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I focus a lot on adapting my lessons depending on the students in front of me. I use real-life examples, differentiated activities, technology and other interactive platforms to make concepts clearer and relatable, and to improve speed and accuracy in problem-solving. I always tell my students that “Learning Math is fun and easy,” because I’ve seen how a positive mindset can really change their performance.
Professionally, I’m a Licensed Teacher and have completed the academic requirements for my master’s in educational management, along with graduate studies in Mathematics Education. My years in the classroom, teaching Grades 7 to 10, have helped me develop strong classroom management skills while keeping a warm and supportive environment.
One highlight of my career was being recognized as the Most Outstanding Secondary School Teacher in our division. I also developed Project CALL, which started as a math initiative and eventually expanded school-wide across all subjects.
Personally, I’m highly organized, strategic leader who approaches challenges with sound judgment, strong common sense, and emotional resilience. I’m collaborative, open to learning, and always strive to give my best. Above all, I am passionate about helping students build confidence in Mathematics and develop skills that will prepare them for lifelong success.
