About

Experienced and dedicated Mathematics educator with over 13 years of secondary teaching experience, currently serving at Dapitan City National High School in the Philippines. I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics and a Master of Education major in Mathematics, and I am an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) holder in Mathematics, valid through June 2031.

My expertise includes Mathematics instruction, differentiated and inclusive teaching, classroom management, assessment, learner remediation, data-informed instruction, educational research, and student mentoring. I use Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) strategies, Assessment for Learning (AfL), collaborative learning, and bilingual/multilingual support tools to address diverse learner needs and improve Mathematics understanding.

I am an active educational researcher with two studies officially indexed in the DepEd E-Saliksik National Research Portal in 2026, focusing on multilingual support for Mathematics word-problem comprehension and inclusive strategies for improving learner motivation. My research experience has strengthened my skills in data analysis, instructional intervention, assessment development, academic writing, and evidence-based decision-making.

In addition to classroom teaching, I have served as a Mathematics Club Adviser, Chess Club Adviser, Head Badminton Coach, and Class Adviser, developing strong skills in leadership, coaching, student engagement, teamwork, and mentoring.

I am passionate about creating inclusive and engaging Mathematics classrooms where students of diverse backgrounds can build confidence, mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude toward learning. I hope to bring my teaching expertise, research experience, leadership skills, and international perspective to a diverse school community in the United States.
