About
I am an experienced international school science educator with over 12 years of teaching experience across Africa and China, complemented by growing secondary leadership responsibilities. I hold a PhD in Teacher Education Policy and Practice and have a strong background in middle school science instruction, inquiry-based learning, assessment literacy, and inclusive education. My teaching practice emphasizes student-centered learning, differentiation for EAL and SEN learners, data-informed instruction, and positive classroom culture, supported by effective communication with parents and colleagues.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have held key leadership roles, including Deputy Head of Secondary and Principal’s Assistant, where I supported academic and operational leadership, teacher supervision and mentoring, curriculum and assessment monitoring, scheduling, student discipline, and daily school operations. I have contributed to whole-school initiatives such as WASC accreditation, MAP assessment implementation, and SEN support collaboration. I also serve as an Adjunct Lecturer, teaching education-related courses and supporting postgraduate research. I am a reflective, collaborative, and adaptable professional, committed to continuous professional growth and aspiring to further leadership development within international education.
