About
My name is Paulina Ayariga, an aspiring educator with a strong passion for inclusive, learner-centered education and youth development. I have an academic background in education and hands-on experience working with children and young people in diverse learning environments. I am particularly interested in creating supportive classrooms that respond to the needs of all learners, including students with special educational needs.
I have developed strong skills in lesson planning, classroom support, communication, teamwork, and learner engagement. Through my academic training and practical experiences, I have learned how to use interactive and student-focused teaching strategies to promote understanding, confidence, and participation among learners.
I am a MasterCard Foundation Scholar, an achievement that reflects my academic commitment, leadership potential, and dedication to community service. This opportunity strengthened my sense of responsibility, resilience, and desire to give back through education. I have also participated in programs and projects that focus on youth empowerment, gender equity, and access to quality education.
Professionally, I have worked with students in classroom and community-based settings, supporting teaching activities, assisting learners academically, and promoting positive behaviour and inclusion. These experiences have helped me build patience, cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and a strong work ethic—qualities that are essential for teaching in an international and multicultural environment.
I am motivated to join Teach USA because it aligns with my goal of gaining global teaching exposure, contributing positively to school communities, and learning best practices in education that I can later apply to improve teaching and learning in my home country.
