About
I am an accomplished and dedicated educator with over a decade of progressive teaching experience across elementary, middle, and senior high school levels. My career has been driven by a deep commitment to nurturing students’ academic growth, practical life skills, and character development. With a strong foundation in Home Economics and Family & Consumer Sciences, I bring both subject-matter expertise and a learner-centered approach to every classroom I serve.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have demonstrated strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and differentiated instruction, ensuring that lessons are inclusive, engaging, and aligned with national curriculum standards. I am particularly skilled at supporting diverse learners, including students with varying academic abilities, by adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs. My classrooms are structured, supportive, and culturally responsive environments where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to succeed.
In my current role as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher at Methodist Senior High School, Saltpond, I teach Home Economics and related subjects at the senior high level. I design and deliver standards-based lessons that integrate theory with practical application, helping students develop essential life, vocational, and problem-solving skills. Beyond instruction, I actively mentor students, guiding them academically and personally, and preparing them for further education, careers, and responsible citizenship.
Previously, I served as a Basic School Teacher at Duakyimase Islamic Basic School, where I taught foundational subjects at the primary, and middle school levels. In this role, I introduced creative and interactive teaching strategies that significantly improved student engagement, literacy, and numeracy outcomes. I also built strong partnerships with parents and the school community, recognizing the importance of collaboration in supporting holistic child development.
My key professional strengths include effective classroom and behavior management, student assessment and progress monitoring, instructional technology integration, and meaningful parent and community engagement. I am a licensed professional teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education and a Diploma in Basic Education, and I remain committed to continuous professional growth and lifelong learning.
Overall, I am passionate about empowering learners with knowledge, practical skills, and confidence, and I take pride in contributing positively to school communities through dedication, professionalism, and a genuine love for teaching.
