Skills
I have acquired considerable ZJC, ‘O’ and ‘A’ level teaching experience as well as IGCSE, AS and A Level Cambridge teaching experiences. I have obtained certificates from Cambridge International for the courses, Introductory Cambridge International AS & A level Mathematics and Marking certificate for Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580, 0980), these broadened my teaching and learning experience.
At the highest level, I have tutored Cambridge AS and A Level Mathematics student. The results of these include possession of essential skills which include interaction effectively with peers, motivating and mentoring students understand Mathematics concepts. I have managed to encourage students with low self-esteem and no confidence in themselves conquer their fears and pass examinations. One of my IGCSE students was given an award for the Best Student in Zimbabwe in the subject Statistics. I have also managed to embrace the advantages that came with technology in my teaching, it makes lessons interesting and it motivate learners.
Outside the classroom, I am involved in mentoring students in different sporting activities, Athletics, Swimming, Soccer, Chess, Quiz and Current affairs. To date, I have held several posts of these co-curricular activities.
About
A highly organised, passionate and skilled mathematician with vast knowledge of Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Mechanics and a classroom practitioner. Sensitive to learners’ concerns, I possess strong interpersonal skills demonstrating the utmost discretion and integrity in the field of mathematics. I am conversant with mathematics tools and the use of technology in teaching and learning using smartboards, projectors and software to aid learning in the same field. Having graduated with a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematical Modelling from National University of Science and Technology, a BSc(hons) degree from Bindura University and a Diploma in Education from University of Zimbabwe, an all-rounder who takes pride in eleven years teaching experience as a mathematics teacher.
