About
Hello, my name is Nikka Montañez. I have three years of experience teaching science to both junior and senior high school students in the Philippines. During this time, I have developed strong classroom management skills by creating a structured yet nurturing environment where students feel respected, accountable, and motivated to learn.
I differentiate instruction by considering my students’ diverse learning needs and styles. I use inquiry-based, project-based, and hands-on strategies to actively engage learners, along with visual aids, group discussions, scaffolding, peer tutoring, and experiments to support understanding.
I am passionate about teaching and committed to helping students grow both academically and personally. I want to teach in the United States because of its rich cultural diversity. I believe this opportunity will allow me to share my knowledge and culture while also growing professionally by learning new teaching strategies and student-centered approaches.
Given the opportunity, I see this as a meaningful cultural experience that will help me become a more effective and globally competent educator.
