About
I am an experienced and dedicated educator with a strong background in Mathematics, Business Studies, educational management, assessment, ICT, and student mentorship. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Education Arts, specializing in Mathematics and Business Studies, and a Master of Education in Economics of Education. I have completed my PhD studies in Education, specializing in Economics of Education and Educational Planning, and have submitted my thesis for examination.
I have extensive classroom teaching experience and have developed strong skills in differentiated instruction, classroom management, student motivation, assessment, and technology integration. I also serve as a KNEC Mathematics examiner, which has strengthened my expertise in assessment, evaluation, marking standards, and analysis of student performance.
In higher education, I serve as a Part-Time Lecturer at Kiriri Women's University of Science and Technology, teaching Education Policy and Management and Educational Measurement and Evaluation to regular and ODeL students. This experience has strengthened my ability to facilitate learning, develop instructional materials, support online learning, and engage learners in critical thinking and evidence-based problem-solving.
I have also served as an ICT and Examinations Coordinator, where I have coordinated examination processes, managed assessment information, supported the use of educational technology, and assisted colleagues and students with digital tools. I am proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Google-based tools, online learning platforms, digital assessment, and data analysis. I also have experience using Python and MATLAB for research, mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and problem-solving.
Beyond the classroom, I have a strong record of student mentorship and extracurricular leadership. As a patron and coach in the Kenya Science and Engineering Fair (KSEF), I have successfully coached and managed students to regional and national levels on several occasions. I have also supported students in table tennis and badminton, helping them develop teamwork, discipline, leadership, confidence, resilience, and sportsmanship.
I am highly self-motivated, adaptable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with colleagues. I bring strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, research, and interpersonal skills. I am passionate about creating inclusive learning environments, maintaining high expectations, and helping every student achieve academic and personal success.
