About
My name is Michael Owusu-Ansah. I have masters in Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Psychology and Foundations of Mathematics and Diploma in Education. I'm currently a Senior High School Teacher.
I have 17 years experience in teaching. I'm a team player and I work hand in hand with colleagues to ensure students succes. I believe that knowledge is best created when students are allow to create them themselves. So I develope activities that makes all students active in class eg. I use think pair share Cooperative learning, flipped classroom approach etc. To be able to manage my classes room well, set rules with the students, example raise your hand before contributing, Do not laugh at someone when he or she get it an answer wrong. All assignments must be submitted in time etc. my strategies for handling disturbing students are giving them leadership roles, changing their seat, maintaining eye contact with such students, I address the bad behavior generally without humiliating them. I create conducive environment for all students to feel free to express themselves in class. I also involve parents by giving them the necessary information about their wards achievement in class. I always respond to parents email to ensure cordia relationship.
