My name is Mercedita B. Tanguihan, a highly dedicated and accomplished Licensed Professional Teacher from the Philippines with nearly 18 years of teaching experience in public education. As of July 1, 2026, I will have completed 18 years of continuous service, demonstrating my unwavering commitment to educational excellence, student development, and professional growth.
Throughout my teaching career, I have successfully taught elementary learners and implemented engaging, student-centered instructional strategies that promote academic achievement, critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning. My extensive classroom experience has equipped me with strong skills in curriculum planning, classroom management, learner assessment, differentiated instruction, and the integration of educational technology to enhance student learning outcomes.
Beyond my classroom responsibilities, I have taken on significant leadership roles within the school community. I currently serve as the School Paper Adviser, guiding young writers and developing students' communication, journalism, and leadership skills. I also serve as the Research Coordinator, leading and supporting research initiatives that contribute to educational improvement and evidence-based practices within the school.
One of my proudest professional achievements was winning at the Regional Research Competition for my educational research project. This accomplishment reflects my commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and the use of research-based strategies to address educational challenges and enhance student learning.
I am passionate about creating inclusive, supportive, and culturally responsive learning environments where every child feels valued and empowered to succeed. I work collaboratively with fellow educators, school leaders, parents, and community stakeholders to ensure the holistic development of every learner.
As I pursue an international teaching position in the United States, I am eager to bring my extensive teaching experience, leadership skills, research expertise, and dedication to student success to a diverse educational community. I am confident that my professionalism, adaptability, strong work ethic, and passion for teaching will enable me to make meaningful contributions to your school while continuing to grow as an educator in a global learning environment.
I look forward to the opportunity to inspire students, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute positively to the academic and personal growth of learners under my care.
