About
I am a Kenyan educator with a Master of Science in Chemistry and an undergraduate degree in Education Science (Chemistry and Biology) from Kenyatta University. Currently, I am teaching IB DP, AD and AP Chemistry in The Kingdom of Bahrain.
I bring over ten years of teaching experience in both international curricula (IB, IGCSE, A-Level, AP and AD) and local curricula. Throughout my career, I have taught Chemistry and Biology at various private and public high schools.
Over the years, I have refined my teaching practices and instructional methods to focus on learner-based learning. I have held several leadership roles, including serving as a member of the career department, homeroom tutor, Head of the Science Department, Head of Chemistry, counselor, and patron of the Science and Engineering clubs. Additionally, I have acted as the grade coordinator, Chemistry consultant, and as an Examiner for Chemistry.
In 2018 and 2025, I was honored with the Award for Outstanding in Teaching, Research and the Promotion of Innovative Teaching at the school and county level. My integration of technology into my teaching has been instrumental in sparking students' interest in Chemistry and Biology. I take pride in fostering strong, supportive relationships with my students.
I am a dedicated and responsible educator with a strong track record of honesty, flexibility, accountability, leadership, and teamwork. I am confident that, if given the opportunity, I will contribute significantly to the institution’s objectives while maintaining high professional and ethical standards.
