About
I am Mathew Frimpong and a biology teacher with 8 years teaching experience in senior high school. I read Biochemistry during my bachelor's degree. I am passionate about creating engaging learning experiences, supporting diverse learners, and contributing positively to school communities. I wish to abide by all the institutional code of conduct when I am offered an appointment.
In my previous roles, I have successfully supported students to accomplish their dreams in the field of biology by creating innovative lessons, mentoring them and improving students’ performance. I bring strong classroom management skills, a commitment to student-centered instruction, and a passion for cultural exchange. My background in laboratory experimentation and life sciences has equipped me with the needed skills to create comprehensive schemes of work and learning plans that align with contemporary educational standard. I believe in designing curricula that not only meet academic requirements but also integrate 21st century skills, gender equality and social inclusive (GESI) and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
I understand teaching students with different cultural background could be a difficult task but my experiences over the years in the teaching fraternity and with different pedagogical skills would help me overcome the challenge. Contributing to success of the young generation has been my main motivation in the teaching profession. I have mentored a good number of students who are now holding higher portfolios in diverse fields and I am proud of that achievement.
