About
I am Mary Aboagyewaa Britwum, a committed and diligent educator with a strong background in English Language teaching and curriculum delivery. Over the past several years, I have taught at both the basic and senior high school levels, helping students improve their communication, writing, and critical-thinking skills. I am passionate about creating supportive and inclusive learning environments, and I incorporate innovative teaching strategies, interventions, and assessment methods to boost learner performance.
My teaching journey has allowed me to organize intervention lessons for low-proficiency learners, guide students in debates, drama, and theatre activities, and support school-wide programs. Through structured lesson planning and learner-centered instruction, I have contributed to significant improvements in students’ test scores and overall engagement.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Education and a Diploma in Basic Education, along with a Ghana Teachers’ License and professional certifications such as the IELTA Certificate. I continually seek professional growth, participating in PLC workshops and training programs, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL), to strengthen my instructional practices.
Beyond the classroom, I have served as SRC Matron, supported sports programs, and mentored students in competitions, demonstrating strong organizational and leadership skills. I am proficient in English Language instruction and skilled in EdTech tools such as Google Classroom, Smartboards, and Microsoft Word and Excel. My experience with gifted and talented learners further enables me to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
