About
Hello! My name is Mariz Fajardo. I am from the Philippines and I am currently teaching 2nd graders. I’ve been in the teaching field for almost 11 years both in private and public school. Throughout my teaching career, I have handled diverse learners with different needs, abilities, and backgrounds. While this can be challenging, I find it very meaningful because it allows me to support each child’s growth academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe that every student can succeed when given the right guidance, encouragement, and learning environment.
In my class, I focus on clear routines, positive classroom management, and differentiated instruction to ensure that all students feel safe, included, and motivated to learn.
I am very excited to apply for the J-1 Teacher Exchange Program because I want to grow professionally by experiencing the U.S. education system and learning best practices that I can bring back to my home country. I also value the cultural exchange aspect of the program and look forward to sharing my culture while learning from others.
I am always excited to share my passion for teaching, continue learning, and make a positive impact on my future students.
