About
I am applying for the position of English Teacher, inspired by a rare opportunity that aligns with my goal of expanding my professional knowledge and sharing my teaching expertise, particularly with diverse and foreign learners.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Elementary Education major in General Science from Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology in 2000 and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers the same year. I have been a permanent teacher under the Department of Education, Mati City Division since September 2, 2002, with 22 years of teaching experience.
Throughout my career, I have developed effective strategies in handling students with diverse personalities and learning needs. I believe meaningful learning goes beyond textbooks; it requires understanding students individually, adapting teaching methods, and making lessons engaging and relevant.
As an English teacher, my goal is not only to teach reading but also to develop students’ language comprehension skills. As the school’s ELLN Reading Coordinator, I initiate and implement reading intervention programs using differentiated activities and continuous monitoring to support struggling readers.
With my experience, dedication, and passion for teaching, I am confident in my ability to make a positive contribution to learners’ academic growth.
