About
I am a passionate and dedicated elementary educator with over 24 years of international teaching experience across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Senegal. Throughout my career, I have been committed to creating engaging, inclusive, and nurturing learning environments where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
My teaching experience spans Early Years Foundation Stage through Grade 3, providing me with a deep understanding of child development and the importance of building strong foundational skills. I have successfully taught a variety of internationally recognized curricula, including the Cambridge Curriculum, IB Primary Years Program(PYP), British Curriculum, American Common Core Standards, and faith-based educational programs. This diverse experience has equipped me with the flexibility and expertise to meet the needs of learners from different cultural and educational backgrounds.
Currently serving at Dakar Academy in Senegal, I continue to foster student-centered learning through inquiry, creativity, collaboration, and differentiated instruction. My classroom practices emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, literacy development, and the integration of technology to prepare students for success in an ever-changing world.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have held several leadership positions that have enriched my professional journey. As Head of Early Years at Heritage International School in Kampala, I provided instructional leadership, mentored teachers, supported curriculum implementation, and contributed to school improvement initiatives. I also served as a Cambridge Examination Officer, ensuring the effective administration of international assessments, and as a Performing Arts Coordinator, promoting creativity, confidence, and student engagement through music, drama, and performance opportunities.

My goal is to continue making a meaningful impact in international school communities by helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually while developing the skills they need for the future.
