About
I am a dedicated Special Needs Teacher from Kenya with exposure in both inclusive and special needs setups. For 16 years I’ve worked as a Special Needs Educator in Kenya’s public schools, building inclusive classrooms where every child is seen, supported, and challenged to grow. My toolkit includes Individualized Education Plans, adaptive teaching, Competency Based Assessment, and strong school-home partnerships.
Beyond teaching, I’m passionate about the whole child. I serve as Teacher in Charge of Students’ Welfare & Guidance, run our school library to build a culture of reading, and mentor students through Wildlife Club, choir, drama, and SNE athletics. Recent highlights: officiated the 2024 Nyanza Region and County SNE Athletics Championships; Song writer and school choir trainer and in 2026, I participated in the Drama Festivals from Zonal level through County and Regional levels to National Drama Festivals as Script writer, trainer for Primary and Junior Secondary Schools drama
I’m a team player at heart and love collaborating with families, teachers, and specialists to unlock student potential. I’m now looking to bring this experience to a U.S. school that values inclusion and innovation.
