About
My name is Lea Rose A. Opiala-Auxtero, and I am a licensed professional teacher from the Philippines with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education major in English. I have over three years of teaching experience, including classroom teaching at St. Angelus of Sicily Academy and ESL teaching at QQ English and SMEAG Global Education. These experiences have allowed me to teach learners of different ages, backgrounds, and English proficiency levels while developing strong classroom management and communication skills.
I am passionate about creating engaging, student-centered lessons that help learners build confidence and develop a genuine love for learning. I especially enjoy working with elementary students because of their curiosity, enthusiasm, and eagerness to explore new ideas. I incorporate interactive activities, storytelling, poetry, and collaborative learning to make lessons meaningful and enjoyable.
Beyond academics, I believe in supporting students' social and emotional growth by creating a classroom where they feel safe, respected, and encouraged to express themselves. I value teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development, and I always strive to improve my teaching practices through training and reflection. My recent seminars on classroom management, lesson planning, assessment, and the SOLO Framework have further strengthened my skills as an educator.
I am adaptable, hardworking, and open to new challenges. My goal is to inspire students to become confident learners while continuing to grow as an educator. I am excited about the opportunity to teach in Taiwan, contribute to a supportive school community, and experience meaningful cultural exchange while making a positive impact on my students.
