About
I am a dedicated and student-centered English teacher from the Philippines with extensive experience teaching in the public school system. I am passionate about helping students become confident readers, effective communicators, and lifelong learners by creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
My strengths include classroom management, lesson planning, differentiated instruction, literacy intervention, curriculum development, and educational leadership. I enjoy designing meaningful learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of students while encouraging critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and real-world application. I am also comfortable integrating technology into instruction to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Beyond the classroom, I have taken on several leadership roles, including School Reading Coordinator, Grade Level Head, Journalism Adviser, and School Paper Coach. These experiences have strengthened my leadership, collaboration, mentoring, and organizational skills while allowing me to lead school-wide literacy initiatives, support fellow teachers, and work closely with families and the community to promote student success.
Throughout my career, I have been honored to receive recognition as Outstanding Secondary Teacher, Outstanding Reading Teacher, and Outstanding Reading Coordinator in acknowledgment of my dedication to teaching and student achievement. I have also written educational research focused on literacy and instructional improvement, reflecting my commitment to continuous learning and evidence-based teaching practices. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership and Management to further strengthen my knowledge and leadership skills.
I believe that every student can succeed when provided with high expectations, meaningful support, and opportunities to grow. I strive to build strong relationships with my students, foster a respectful and welcoming classroom culture, and inspire them to become confident, responsible, and lifelong learners.
