One thing I would like you to know about me is that teaching has never been just a career for me, it is my calling. For the past 17 years, I have had the privilege of helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe that every child has the potential to succeed when they are encouraged, challenged, and genuinely cared for.
My background in Psychology has strengthened my ability to understand the diverse needs of learners, build positive relationships, and create a classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to do their best. I strive to make learning engaging while maintaining high expectations for both character and academic achievement.
I am also committed to continuous professional growth and embrace new teaching strategies and technologies that enhance student learning. I value teamwork, open communication with parents and colleagues, and contributing positively to the wider school community.
As an educator relocating from Jamaica, I would bring not only extensive teaching experience but also resilience, adaptability, a strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my students. It would be an honor to contribute to Viera Charter School's mission of providing an excellent education while inspiring students to become confident, compassionate, and lifelong learners.
