About
I am a licensed professional teacher from the Philippines with more than 25 years of teaching experience across different educational levels. Throughout my career, I have taught Music as well as other academic subjects, helping students develop not only their knowledge and skills but also their confidence, creativity, and character.
I hold a master's degree in music education and have completed 36 academic units toward a Master of Arts in Special Education with specialization in Moderate to Severe Disabilities, including the comprehensive examination. This graduate study has strengthened my ability to work with diverse learners and create inclusive, student-centered learning environments.
My teaching approach emphasizes active learning, creativity, collaboration, and respect for individual differences. I am experienced in lesson planning, classroom management, curriculum implementation, student assessment, and integrating technology into instruction. I strive to make learning engaging and meaningful while maintaining high academic standards.
Some of my professional achievements include earning my Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) teaching license, obtaining an Alberta Early Childhood Educator certificate, an Alberta teaching certificate in progress, and achieving a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 9 in the CELPIP examination. These accomplishments demonstrate my commitment to professional growth and my readiness to teach in an international setting.
Beyond my qualifications, I am adaptable, hardworking, culturally sensitive, and eager to contribute to a diverse school community. I enjoy collaborating with colleagues, building positive relationships with students and parents, and participating in school activities that promote student success.
I am excited about the opportunity to teach in the United States, where I can share my knowledge, learn from experienced educators, and make a positive impact on students' lives while continuing to grow professionally.
