About
I am a dedicated and compassionate SEN and STEM educator with over six years of teaching experience in both secondary and special education settings. I am passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting learners with diverse educational needs through structured instruction, individualized support, and positive behaviour guidance. I strive to create a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes academic progress and holistic learner development.
My key skills include Special Educational Needs support, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), differentiated instruction, Mathematics and Science teaching, behaviour management, educational assessment, student progress monitoring, safeguarding awareness, parent engagement, record keeping, reporting and ICT in education. I am also experienced in working collaboratively with school leadership, parents, and stakeholders to strengthen inclusive learning practices and improve learner outcomes.
I currently serve as a SEN Teacher at Kitale School, where I develop and implement IEPs, conduct academic and functional assessments and deliver instruction in Mathematics, communication skills, social literacy, and daily living skills. Prior to this, I worked as a SEN Teacher at Chinga Girls High School, where I supported learners with profound disabilities through curriculum-aligned planning, classroom support, assessments and parent engagement.
Through my experience, I have developed a strong ability to support learners with varying needs, promote inclusive education, maintain structured learning environments and contribute positively to student progress and well-being. I am committed to professionalism, collaboration and ensuring that every learner receives the support they need to succeed.
