About
My name is Joyrita Gatugi , and I am a teacher based in Kenya with experience both in Elementary and Secondary Education. My teaching journey started in elementary school where I taught as a full-time teacher from Jan 2022 to Nov 2023. Currently I teach in secondary school from Dec 2023. I possess strong classroom management and lesson-planning skills. I also have the ability to create and inclusive and engaging learning environment. I am skilled in differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs and in using assessment to track student progress. I communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues and adapt easily to new curricula and environments. I have successfully taught Social Studies, Geography and Business Education both in elementary and secondary school. My experience in teaching both in elementary and secondary school has strengthened my adaptability, instructional skills, and understanding of learner development.
