About
From a young age, I have aspired to become a teacher, inspired by my kindergarten educator’s patience and kindness while I struggled with handwriting and basic mathematics. I deeply appreciate the lasting impact a thoughtful teacher can have on a child’s life, and I strive to be that kind of inspiring educator.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education (Mathematics and Computer Studies) from Maseno University. I have taught Mathematics, ICT, and Computer Science in various international schools in Kenya. For the past four years, I have taught KS3 and IGCSE students at Oshwal Junior High School and Sadik International School, specializing in Python programming, web authoring, and digital skills.
My teaching philosophy revolves around making learning fun, lively, and engaging rather than a burden. I create interactive, relevant lessons that encourage students to look forward to class, interact meaningfully, and gain confidence. I maintain an open-door policy, adapt easily to new environments and teaching styles, and help every student feel seen and capable of becoming future innovators.
What drives me most is giving back to society. For two years, I volunteered with Tech Novation Kenya, empowering high school girls to develop mobile apps addressing community challenges. I also spent four years mentoring high school students through Equity Bank’s Wings to Fly programme, building their life skills and academic confidence. These experiences have shaped me into a more compassionate and purposeful educator.
I am excited to bring my energy, dedication, and passion for teaching to an international school, where I can help students grow into confident, creative, and globally-minded individuals.
