About
I am Jonalyn Salonga , from Philippines. With 23 years of dedicated experience in elementary education and a proven track record of international teaching excellence. I am currently completing my teaching contract in the Sultanate of Oman, which concludes in August 2026, and I am seeking to bring my global perspective to your school through the J-1 Teacher Exchange program.
Throughout my two decades in the classroom, I have developed a sophisticated repertoire of pedagogical strategies that foster both academic achievement and emotional growth. My current tenure in Oman has further refined my ability to support diverse learners, by implementing culturally responsive teaching and differentiated instruction. I am adept at utilizing data-driven assessments to tailor curricula that meet the unique needs of every child.
As a J-1 visa candidate, I am eager to participate in this cultural exchange to share my experiences from the Middle East while gaining a deep understanding of the American educational system. I have already researched the U.S. Department of State J-1 Visa requirements and am prepared to work with a designated sponsor to facilitate the transition.
