About
I am a licensed English and Literature teacher with over 13 years of experience. I am passionate about helping students discover the power of stories and language. My teaching career began at the high school level, where I spent six years developing innovative strategies to engage students and foster genuine interest in learning. My dedication led to my appointment as Head of the English Department, where I contributed to curriculum development, provided leadership to the team, and supported fellow educators in enhancing their instructional skills.
Subsequently, I transitioned to teaching at the college level for two years. Instructing adult learners challenged me to refine my teaching methods and deepened my appreciation for literature's relevance to real-world contexts. I became adept at facilitating discussions and encouraging students to engage in critical analysis of texts.
Lately, I’ve focused on training students for IELTS and General English exams. I’ve spent the last five years helping people prep for these tests, and I’m proud of the results—most of my students do really well. I like to create a classroom where everyone feels supported and motivated. I mix things up with interactive lessons, multimedia, and lots of one-on-one feedback. My goal? Make sure every student gets what they need to succeed.
