About
I am Jesselin Cacho-Apigo, an experienced educator and instructional leader with more than ten years of teaching experience across elementary, secondary, and higher education settings. I am excited to submit my application and share my passion for fostering student achievement, promoting academic excellence, and creating engaging learning environments that support the success of all learners.
My teaching career spans both elementary and secondary education. For five years, I taught Grade 3 Science, where I developed and implemented standards-based lessons that nurtured scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and hands-on learning. Working with young learners strengthened my ability to differentiate instruction, build positive classroom cultures, and support students' academic, social, and emotional development. I utilized a variety of instructional strategies and assessment practices to meet diverse learning needs and ensure meaningful learning experiences for every child.
In addition, I served as a Senior High School Teacher II for five years, teaching students in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) strand. In this role, I facilitated rigorous, student-centered instruction that prepared learners for higher education and future careers. I guided students in developing advanced scientific knowledge, problem-solving skills, research competencies, and real-world applications of science concepts. My experience working with adolescents enhanced my ability to foster academic excellence, encourage independent learning, and prepare students for college and career readiness.
Currently, I serve as Head Teacher I at Kabisig Elementary School, where I provide instructional leadership, mentor teachers, coordinate school improvement initiatives, and promote collaborative professional learning. I am also an Assistant Professorial Lecturer III, allowing me to contribute to the preparation and development of future educators through higher education instruction.
Academically, I hold a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management from the University of Rizal System, a Master of Arts in Curriculum Design, Development, and Supervision major in Science from St. Paul University Manila, and a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Biological Science from Cainta Catholic College.
Throughout my career, I have remained committed to creating inclusive, learner-centered environments where students are empowered to achieve their full potential. My combined experience teaching elementary learners and senior high school students, together with my leadership and research background, has equipped me with the skills necessary to support diverse student populations and contribute positively to any educational community.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience, qualifications, and dedication to student success can contribute to your school district. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you.
