About
I began my teaching journey in the Philippines, where I spent three years as a licensed mathematics teacher, building a strong foundation in mathematics instruction, values education, and classroom management. Eager to broaden my global perspective, I transitioned to Shanghai, China, as an EFL teacher. Immersed in a multicultural environment, I refined my ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners and leveraged innovative technology to bridge learning gaps. Returning to the Philippine public school system, I carried these skills forward with a renewed commitment to academic excellence and holistic student growth.
My background in values education has uniquely equipped me to foster ethical leadership and socio-emotional learning, which I integrate into my mathematics classroom to create a supportive, values-driven environment. Over the years, I have led curriculum initiatives, organized enrichment programs such as Math Camps, and served as a Grade 7 level coordinator during school-wide intramurals—collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote teamwork, school spirit, and student engagement.
Beyond classroom teaching, I co-authored Project JEN’S, a literacy and numeracy initiative that meaningfully improved student outcomes. My strengths lie in designing student-centered lessons, cultivating inclusive classrooms, and building collaborative school communities. With a strong foundation in mathematics education, TESOL certification, and professional licensure, I remain committed to continuous growth—whether through professional development or pursuing international opportunities.
At the heart of my work is a passion for helping students build confidence in mathematics and a belief that education should empower learners to thrive both academically and personally. My journey from local classrooms to international teaching has prepared me to bring a unique cross-cultural perspective to U.S. students, fostering both academic excellence and global awareness.
