I have administrative skills as a Head of Department of Home Economics & Hospitality. I also, have experience in curriculum and policy development. My experience as a Grade Coordinator would have allowed me to collaborate with parents, colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure the holistic development of the students.
About
I am Jennifer Brown an educator for the past 33 years. I am currently teaching from grades 11-13 Food & Nutrition. I taught Grades 7 - 10 Home and Family Resources using the STEM Approach for over 29 years. I am certified in Commis Chef - (NCTVET- Level 1) also, Floral Arrangement and Housekeeping.
I taught Health and Family Life Education for over 5 years which framework focus on career pathway and family living. I am the team leader for the School Wide Positive Behavior Intervention Support (SWPBIS).
I have entered students for the sitting of external examinations with a success rate of 90% and over in Family and Resource Management and over 80% passes in Food & Nutrition. I have National Top Achiever in Jamaica in the subject Family and Resource Management.
I believe in professional growth and have a master's in educational leadership with Temple University, Pennsylvania.
