About
To the Recruitment and Selection Committee,
I am writing to express my strong interest in the ESOL Teacher or Elementary General Subjects
Teacher position within your organization. As a licensed educator from the Philippines with a
Bachelor of Elementary Education and five years of full-time classroom experience, I am fully
equipped to bring rigorous, data-driven, and compassionate instruction to your student body.
What sets my profile apart as an international applicant is my immediate readiness for U.S.
classroom licensing. I have already completed a comprehensive, course-by-course credential
evaluation through SpanTran (a NACES member), which confirms my degree’s full equivalency to
a four-year U.S. Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Furthermore, I have already taken
and passed the official ETS Praxis Subject Assessment in English to Speakers of Other Languages
(ESOL).
Over the past five years, I have successfully managed diverse classrooms of up to 40 students,
delivering core instruction across English Language Arts, Mathematics, and General Sciences.
My teaching philosophy centers on scaffolding instruction for English language learners and
utilizing targeted data to pull struggling students up to grade-level reading markers. In my
current role, this analytical approach directly contributed to a 12% average increase in quarterly
student literacy scores. I am deeply familiar with integrating modern EdTech platforms to drive
engagement and collaborating with parents to build strong support systems for my students.
I am highly motivated to bring my global perspective, instructional adaptability, and deep
passion for student success to your classrooms. Thank you for your time, consideration, and
review of my attached SpanTran evaluation, Praxis score reports, and professional resume. I
welcome the opportunity to discuss how my five years of experience can serve your school
community in a virtual interview.
Sincerely,
Jeanine Bagunas
Licensed Professional Teacher (PRC, Philippines)
