About
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Primary Option) from Mount Kenya University, Kenya, and a fully licensed Primary School Teacher. Furthermore, I have 8 years of experience and a firm believer that every learner has the ability to learn.
I have taught Grades 2 through 6, adapting my teaching strategies to meet the diverse academic and emotional needs of students at various stages of development. My approach is child-centered, with a strong emphasis on interactive learning, critical thinking, and the social-emotional well-being of every student. I understand the need for teachers to meet curriculum standards for students to excel. This I do by offering engaging lessons to my students and making learning fun for my students. A visit to my class will show a teacher who has excellent content knowledge and engages students throughout the lesson.
Throughout my career as a teacher, I have consistently exceeded expectations in the learning areas I teach. The passion I have in teaching has helped me be rated as one of the best teachers in my institution. Also, through integration of ICT in teaching, I have been recognized as an ICT champion in my sub-county. I have also completed a training on Design Challenge Learning and, I have also undertaken an online course on the same and now I am a trainer of trainees. I am also Certified Microsoft Educator.
I am actively involved in extracurricular activities, I am an advisor of a Tech Challenge Club in my school that helps learners to creative, innovative and embrace collaboration and team work.
I strive to create a classroom atmosphere where curiosity is encouraged, differences are celebrated, and every child feels seen and supported. I am also deeply committed to lifelong learning and welcome the opportunity to grow professionally within a forward-thinking and globally minded institution.
