About
Hello, My name is Ivy a dedicated, diligent and compassionate second grade adviser in the Philippines and also a licensed educator in Illinois. I graduated with the degree Bachelor of Elementary Education and Master of Arts in Educational Management.
For 20 years, I've had the opportunity to manage my own classroom with joy and work with diverse students needing remediation, enrichment and with behavioral need from Kindergarten to 6th grade, teaching all core subjects like, English(Reading and Language), Math, Science, Filipino, GMRC, Music and Physical Education.
As a seasoned educator I worked with students from different backgrounds so for them to be engage, I differentiate learning, in small group, pair or independent learning to foster collaboration and mastery. I have also a strength in classroom management, where in I set clear rules and expectation and implement properly while treating my students with respect. I use also data driven instruction, like reading data, math data, summative and formative assessment to track students progress. I collaborate well with parents, I build trust by giving updates on their child's progress and behavior. I also work well with my colleagues to align my strategies. I share what's working and what isn't and make necessary adjustment for my students.
Beside academics, I am so passionate in music, sports and co-curricular activities. I train, coach badminton, volleyball players, science and journalism participants who compete from the district up to the regional level. I am not only using my talents in music in church related activities being pianist and guitarist but I bring it to our school because I've been an organizer and leader od ukulele ensemble.

2019,2020 as the Most Outstanding Teacher
I am very much willing to share not only my education, talent or skills in the US school but more so my commitment and dedication to be of help for the school and the students.
