Dear Selection Committee,
Good day!
I am Ivy Gail Baladiang Benito, a licensed English teacher from the Philippines with eight years
of teaching experience in secondary education. I am currently teaching Grade 12 English
Language Arts at Silangan National High School in Rizal, Philippines. I am writing to formally express my sincere interest in joining your school as an English teacher.
Throughout my teaching career, I have taught English Language Arts, Reading and Writing Skills,
Creative Nonfiction, Research, 21st Century Literature, and Academic Writing in secondary and
senior high school settings. Currently, I serve as a Senior High School English Teacher at
Silangan National High School in the Philippines, where I teach Grade 11 and Grade 12 learners.
Beyond classroom instruction, I mentor students in campus journalism and have successfully
coached award-winning writers in Editorial, News, Sports, and Feature Writing competitions.
These experiences have strengthened my ability to inspire learners, foster creativity, and
develop strong communication skills among students.
My philosophy of education is grounded in the belief that English education is a gateway to
personal, academic, and social growth. I strive to help students appreciate literature, develop
effective communication skills, and connect classroom learning to real-world situations.
Whether through writing, discussion, literary analysis, or persuasive communication, I
encourage students to discover their voices and use them meaningfully in their communities
and future careers.
Beyond the classroom, I value teamwork, professionalism, and continuous growth. I work
collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the school community. I am eager
to bring my dedication, teaching experience, and passion for student learning to your district.
