About
I am a Special Education Teacher with over five years of experience supporting learners with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the elementary level (Grades 1–6). I am skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), using data-driven instruction, and applying differentiated teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. I also have experience using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and behavior support strategies to improve student engagement and independence.
In my current role, I teach functional literacy, numeracy, communication, and life skills, focusing on helping students build practical abilities for everyday living. I have successfully supported students in improving their communication, social interaction, and academic performance through individualized and structured interventions.
My key achievements include contributing to inclusive education initiatives in my school, participating in professional development programs such as Special Olympics Ghana coaching training, and consistently creating supportive and structured classroom environments that promote student growth.
I am committed to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments and continuously improving my practice to meet international teaching standards.
