About
One of my key achievements as a teacher has been the positive impact I’ve made on learners both academically and personally. I started my teaching career after completing my Diploma in Education at OLA College of Education in 2016, and from the beginning, I focused on effective teaching, good classroom management, and building strong relationships with learners.
Because of the way I taught, managed, monitored, and supported my students, my headmaster at the time, the late Mr. Obeng Williams, entrusted me with a Basic 7 class as their form teacher. This was a major milestone for me, as it showed leadership’s confidence in my abilities.
Another major achievement has been my contribution to inclusive education. I have a strong passion for supporting learners with physical disabilities and developmental challenges. Through the assistance and care I provided, parents gained confidence in our school, which led to an increase in school enrolment, especially among learners who previously felt excluded.
I was later appointed as a Guidance and Counselling teacher due to my influence on learners. I am able to identify students who are absent or performing poorly, engage them individually, and support them emotionally and academically. To address academic challenges, I organised free after-school Science and Mathematics classes, which helped improve learner performance and encouraged regular attendance.
Currently, I serve as a Basic 9 Form Teacher, Science and mathematics quiz specialist, a Guidance and Counselling teacher, and a Welfare Team member. In these roles, I focus on examination preparation, learner wellbeing, counselling, and creating a supportive learning environment. Overall, my greatest achievement is helping learners regain confidence in themselves, improve academically, and develop a genuine love for school.
