About
I am a dedicated and experienced Science educator with approximately nine years of teaching experience at the secondary school level. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Science and am a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in Kenya. My areas of specialization are Biology and Chemistry, and I am passionate about creating engaging, learner-centered lessons that promote curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and academic excellence.
Throughout my teaching career, I have taken on several leadership and additional responsibilities, including serving as Head of the Science Department, Form Coordinator, class teacher, and a member of the school Discipline Committee. I have successfully contributed to improving students' academic performance, including improvements in the departmental mean score. I have also coached students in Science Fair projects that progressed to regional-level competitions.
I have attended professional retooling programs to strengthen my ability to implement Competency-Based Education (CBE) and support diverse learners effectively. In addition, I possess strong computer skills, which enable me to integrate technology into teaching, learning, assessment, and professional collaboration.
I am a committed, adaptable, and collaborative educator who values professionalism and continuous professional development. My experience working with diverse learners, leading academic initiatives, mentoring students, and collaborating with colleagues has strengthened my ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
