I am Gina Marie Mutesa, a certified secondary school educator from Kenya dedicated to shaping young minds through rigorous academics and values-based instruction. With over two years of full-time teaching experience at Sinyolo Girls' High School and Asumbi Girls High School, I specialize in Social Studies (World History, African History, Geography, Civics) and Character Education — a rare combination among J-1 candidates that opens doors to SEL-focused programs, ACSI Christian schools, and Catholic schools.
As formally appointed Class Teacher, I oversee the holistic development of 50+ students, including academic tracking, behavioral management, dormitory supervision, evening study halls, and pastoral care. My inclusive education expertise includes IEP development, assistive technology integration, and differentiated instruction for students with disabilities. A native English speaker fluent in Swahili and Luo, I bring unique ESL/ELL scaffolding skills. I am working with GEC for J-1 visa sponsorship and am prepared to cover all government-required fees.
