About
I am a dedicated and adaptable education professional with a strong passion for teaching, mentorship, and student development. I am committed to creating engaging learning environments that not only promote academic excellence but also encourage discipline, confidence, critical thinking, and personal growth among learners. My approach to teaching is learner-centered, structured, and rooted in both academic support and character formation.
I possess strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, curriculum delivery, learner assessment, communication, mentorship, and academic coaching. I am particularly skilled in teaching English Language and Literature, preparing students for examinations, and using effective instructional methods to simplify concepts and improve learner understanding. I also apply inductive teaching strategies inspired by the Hilda Taba model, helping students move from observation and discussion to deeper analysis and concept formation.
In terms of experience, I have previously worked as an English Teacher at Eshikulu Boys High School, where I taught English, supported KCSE preparation, and helped learners strengthen their writing, comprehension, grammar, and communication skills. During this role, I also mentored students and supported co-curricular and faith-based development through the Christian Union. In addition, I served as an English Teacher at Immaculate Heart Secondary School, where I contributed to academic instruction, exam readiness, and learner support while promoting discipline and holistic student growth.
Beyond teaching, I have also gained professional experience in customer service, communication, and data-related roles. I previously worked in a call centre environment, where I consistently met performance targets and developed strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and client-handling skills. I have also built experience in data entry and administrative support, which strengthened my attention to detail, organization, and digital efficiency.
Some of my key achievements include contributing to improved learner engagement and academic performance, supporting students in KCSE preparation, consistently meeting workplace KPIs in previous professional roles, and building a reputation as a dependable, growth-oriented, and values-driven professional. I take pride in being someone who is teachable, hardworking, and committed to making a meaningful impact wherever I serve.
Overall, I bring a combination of teaching ability, communication strength, leadership potential, and professional discipline, and I am eager to continue using my skills and experience to contribute positively to an institution that values excellence, integrity, and student success.
