About
I have a lot of experience teaching chemistry at the senior high and basic school levels in Ghana. I am a committed and results-oriented educator. I currently work for the Ghana Education Service at Tarkwa Senior High School, where I contribute solid pedagogical knowledge, excellent chemistry subject-matter experience, and a learner-centered strategy that continuously raises student comprehension, engagement, and academic accomplishment. I've demonstrated my ability to create and deliver well-organized classes, use formative exams, and give prompt, helpful feedback that encourages students to take charge of their education..
My professional experience spans roles as a chemistry teacher, science teacher, teaching assistant, and teacher intern, enabling me to develop strong classroom management skills, effective communication strategies, and the ability to support diverse learners, including students with special educational needs. I am highly skilled in laboratory instruction, safety protocol implementation, and laboratory management, including the maintenance of equipment, chemical stock control, and enforcement of health and safety standards. I consistently ensure that laboratory environments meet required safety regulations, including the proper use of eyewash stations, safety showers, fire extinguishers, and fire blankets.
I actively incorporate innovative teaching strategies such as flipped classrooms, project-based learning, hands-on experiments, ICT tools, PowerPoint presentations, and mnemonics to stimulate intellectual curiosity and promote positive attitudes toward science. My collaborative approach allows me to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and school administrators to support student progress and contribute to curriculum development aligned with national standards.
Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Education in Science (Chemistry major, Biology minor) from the University of Cape Coast with Second Class Upper Division honors and am a licensed professional teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I am committed to continuous professional development, having completed training in safeguarding children, teaching assistance, and educational technology. Overall, I am passionate about nurturing scientific thinking, maintaining high professional standards, and guiding students toward both academic success and personal growth
