About
Hello. My name is Francis Okyere, and I am a dedicated and adaptable educator with over 13 years of international teaching experience.
My career began in my home country of Ghana, where I served as a professional Information and Communication Technology (ICT) teacher for 12 years within the Ghana Education Service. In that role, I developed a deep passion for not just teaching digital skills, but for the art of teaching itself—lesson planning, classroom management, and finding creative ways to make complex concepts accessible to every student.
Seeking a new challenge and a broader perspective, I moved to China, where I have spent the last year teaching English as a Second Language. This experience has been incredibly rewarding. It has sharpened my ability to communicate across cultural and linguistic barriers and reinforced my belief that technology is a powerful bridge for learning and connection.
Now, I am eager to bring this unique blend of skills—my strong foundation in pedagogical practice, my expertise in educational technology, and my proven adaptability in diverse classrooms—to a school in the United States. I see myself not just as an ESL teacher or a technology instructor, but as a versatile educator who can support students in multiple ways, helping them build both language skills and the digital literacy essential for the future.
I am a lifelong learner, deeply committed to professional growth, and I am excited by the prospect of contributing to a collaborative and innovative school community.
